Orthopedics and Pediatrics

Orthopedics and Pediatrics

A multifaceted and intricate anatomical structure, the human foot and lower leg is made up of 26 bones (25% of all the bones in your body), 33 joints, more than 100 muscles, ligaments, and tendons, as well as a vast network of delicate tissue, arteries, and skin. To provide quality, flexibility, and equalization for the individual to stand, walks, or run, these segments function in perfect unison. Your internal medicine doctor or primary care physician may refer you to an orthopedic doctor or a podiatrist if there is pain, damage, or a breakdown in the foot and lower leg, including plantar fasciitis, bunions, or other disorders.
